Quote:"So, to recap: Arizona set the all-time record for most strikeouts and has a slightly above average offense. Houston and Kansas City have the fewest strikeouts in their respective leagues, and one ranks 23rd in scoring and the other ranks 28th in scoring.
As always, how well you avoid outs is a whole lot more important than what type of outs you make.
// I always like strikeouts. They're neater.
// All about Goodfellas
// Interesting breakdown but wrong conclusion. It says college grads "break even" by age 33. This is incorrect as it does not factor in the cost of the education. In fact, it's another ten years before grads "break even." Even then, there isn't much advantage for degree holders until they get into their fifties and sixties. Ouch. And, if a student has the resources available to them to go to college, but choose not to and hold those assets in a conservative form that earns 5% per year, well, the lifetime advantage for getting a degree simply disappears. Bad news.
