National Treasure II: The More Ridiculous
This movie was so ridiculously ridiculous it made the first movie seem plausible. I was ambivalent about the movie, then I saw it and the ambivalence became annoyance at how ridiculous the whole affair was. This wasn’t a good movie. Everything was contrived, the timing was off, the suspense was unsuspenseful and Nicolas Cage needs to be detained by Homeland Security. This movie doesn’t deserve to be reviewed.

I have to agree with you. My dad and I went to see the first one, and while it was silly we also enjoyed it, and I thought it was reviewed more harshly than it should have been. My dad wanted to see the second, and I have to admit I did to, so we trudged to the theater and I pretty much left shaking my head — all of the endearing charm of the first movie somehow failed to make it into this thing. It’s too bad, really — the franchise had some limited potential.
