Marty, my Houston Texas friend made a good point recently that creating our own ideological versions of Wikipedia can only marginalize us into our own “echo chambers.” He also said that it’s not too far away from the Democrats refusing to debate on Fox News Channel.
Just some food for thought.
Chris, I see your point and I agree. Conservatives need not be in the business of propoganda and should embrace the debate that goes on in the process of editing a project like Wikipedia.
I don’t wish to withdraw. What I’m trying to do is create a scrapbook if you will. I can’t describe the events that you and I participated in during our respective years at the U of M in Wikipedia. It doesn’t meet basic standards of noteriety.
My project isn’t meant as a competing reference to “liberal” wikipedia. I see it as an addition, something niche. A celebration of conservative activism in a liberal state.
I can tell you that I don’t use conservepedia, I use and edit Wikipedia. I just thought my wiki could be a great place to publish all the great stories I had (and I know other had) dealing with my activism in Minnesota. I’ve been an activist, both paid and other, since 2001 in this state.
Thanks for the input Chris.
