this. is. amazing.
Some friends of mine wanted to do something similar but trade things until we ended up with a deed to a silver mine. But, jeez, we never thought we’d actually do it.
It’s one of those stunts you think about as a young person:
“If I start with a penny and some shiny rocks, I can trade that for a card then sell the baseball card for three cents, by some bubble gum balls from the store, then trade those to…”
The best I ever did in my trades was eventually get a Rod Carew and Tom Seaver rookie card (Starting with a complete set of 1989 Topps), both of which were eventually stolen.
But a red paperclip to 1 year lease in AZ to an afternoon with Alice Cooper (Really, not something I’d want) in less than a year? I agree, amazing.
Personally, I think that going froma year free of rent to an afternoon with Alice Cooper is a bit of a step down. A year free is so close to his goal.
By the way, I’m in the blogosphere again. This time, no political stuff, I’m blogging about a nonprofit I’m working on.
